The Symphony Associates
The Symphony Associates was formed to support the Bakersfield Symphony Orchestra by promoting community interest and sponsoring fundraising events. The annual Symphony Ball and Fashionata provide a significant portion of the contributed income of the Symphony. Bakersfield Symphony Orchestra Endowment Foundation
The Endowment Foundation helps ensure the future of the Bakersfield Symphony Orchestra.Planned gifts provide immediate and deferred benefits to the donor and the Symphony.
- Gifts of Cash - A gift of cash or other appreciated assets gives tax advantage to the giver.
- Bequest by Will or Trust - Many supporters choose to make provision for the Bakersfield Symphony Orchestra Endowment Foundation by bequests in their will.
- Charitable Remainder Trust - is a trust arrangement that involves the irrevocable transfer of property to a trust providing income to the donor with remaining assets given to the Orchestra.
- Gift Annuity and Deferred Gift Annuity - is an arrangement that involves a gift of cash or property by a donor in exchange for a fixed income for life of one or two beneficiaries.
- Charitable Income Lead Trust - is a trust arrangement that involves a transfer of assets to a trust which pays income to a designated charity for a term of years. The trust can be arranged in such a way that it can avoid all estate and gift taxes.
