Experience the Magic of Living Music!  Experience the Magic of Living Music!
This is the 78th Season of the Bakersfield Symphony Orchestra and it is filled with vibrant and enriching music including Chopin's Piano Concerto No. 1, Beethoven's Symphony No. 8 and Symphony No. 9, Elgar's Violin Concerto, and Mendelssohn's Symphony No. 5.  We will feature the Gold Medal Winner of the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition, Hoachen Zhang; Diana Galvydyte, Romanian violinist will make her US debut; Roberto Plano, a sensation in our 73rd Season returns, and more!

Each concert features 60 to 80 highly skilled, professional musicians employed by the Symphony to perform some of the world's finest music. Most of our musicians live in Bakersfield, where many of them teach music.  A portion of the musicians travel from the outside the Kern County area to perform with the Bakersfield Symphony as well as with other symphonies throughout the state.

We hope you will join us for our 2009-2010 78th Season !

BSO Mission Statement
